You can help!

The first episode of Gardens of Miranda is the result of two years of almost solo effort covering writing, concept and character design, prop and puppet construction, to testing and animation. I collaborated with some very talented artists for the look of the environments and I’m working with some equally talented folks for the post-production phase, which is ongoing and will continue as long as the series is in production. I’d like to believe that Gardens of Miranda confirms the idea that visually ambitious film concepts are not the sole province of big budget Hollywood productions, but can also be achieved independently with relatively modest resources.

The two year development period and this first episode have been self-funded, but unfortunately my pockets aren’t deep enough to pay for the entire series. I’ve paid for the completion of the episode 1 teaser but finishing the rest of the first installment will require additional funding. So, if you’re intrigued by what you’ve seen so far and would like to see how the rest of the story plays out, click on the Donate button and contribute however much you’re comfortable with. Any and all donations are welcome, and that money will ultimately allow the creation of some very unique and striking visual storytelling.

Stop-motion animation is a fascinating art form. It allows the film maker’s wildest fantasies to be realized, but like many art forms it requires time, creativity and patience, and your donation enables those elements to combine and create something special. Even if you cannot contribute at this time, your words of support, interactive participation at this journal blog, and sharing & spreading the 'word' about Gardens of Miranda to others (facebook, twitter, etc.), will be a great encouragement that you are interested in this project. If you can donate any amount, that of course will be very much appreciated. Thanks!
